How to Clean Residual Powder from a Powder Shaker

Step 1: Remove Loose Powder

· Use cotton swabs or a small brush to clean away any loose hot-melt powder from the interior surfaces.

Step 2: Initial Vacuuming

· Use a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle attachment to remove excess powder from the spiral auger.

Step 3: Empty the Baffle

· Pull down the baffle and carefully pour out any remaining powder into a container.

Step 4: Clean the Sieve and Lower Auger

· Remove the sieve.
· Thoroughly clean the lower spiral auger area using a vacuum cleaner.

Step 5: Clear the Vertical Auger

· Gently tap the vertical auger to dislodge any compacted powder and allow it to flow out.
· Turn on the vertical auger to let it rotate. While it's spinning, tap it gently again and catch any falling powder with a container.

Step 6: Clean the Powder Return Inlet

· Use the vacuum cleaner to carefully clean the powder return inlet at the vertical auger nozzle, ensuring it is completely unblocked.

Step 7: Reassemble the Unit

· Finally, reassemble all parts in reverse order: first reinstall the sieve, then secure the baffle, and ensure everything is fitted correctly.
