Grating Strip Replacement Operation

Phase 1 – Removal
1.Move the carriage out and turn off the printer power.
2.Loosen the fixing screws on both sides of the grating ruler.
3.Remove the old grating ruler.

Phase 2 – Installation & initial positioning
4. Take out the new grating ruler.
5. Secure one end of the grating ruler to the bracket.
6. Gently move the carriage by hand to align the grating ruler with the center of the decoder slot.
7. Arrange the grating ruler and fix it flat on the bracket.

Phase 3 – Final securing & adjustment
8. Tighten both ends of the grating ruler (screws).
9. Adjust the tightness of the grating ruler by adjusting the screws.
10. Check the flatness of the grating ruler again and make sure it is centered in the decoder slot.
11. Trim off the excess grating ruler.

Caution: Prevent surface scratches during operation.
